Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. XCiTés is the Flamingo book of new French writing, edited by Georgia de Chamberet, published in 2000. Conceived of following France's World Cup win and during the height of the French music boom typified by Daft Punk and Air, the anthology showcased an array of young French writers. In particular, it pre-saged the talents of Michel Houellebecq and Frédéric Beigbeder. In addition to writers Agnès Desarthe, Marie Desplechin, Mounsi, Tonino Benacquista, Guillaume Dustan and Virginie Despentes, it also featured contributions from Mathieu Kassovitz and Marcel Desailly.
