Prof. Sabu Thomas is a globally renowned scientist and one of the leading researchers in polymer science and nanotechnology. He currently serves as Professor of Polymer Science & Engineering and was the former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. Prof. Thomas is internationally recognized for his pioneering work on polymer blends, nanocomposites, green materials, and sustainable polymers. Uddandarao Priyanka is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, India. Her current research work focuses on nanobiohybrids for the production of value-added products and the degradation of organic pollutants, and her wider areas of research expertise include environmental biotechnology, bioprocess development, value-added products, pollutant removal, heavy metal removal, and chalcogens. Eric D. van Hullebusch is a Full Professor in Biogeochemistry of Engineered Ecosystems at the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, Université Paris Cité, France. He holds a Ph.D. in Aquatic Chemistry and Microbiology from Université de Limoges. After a Marie Curie fellowship at Wageningen University & Research, where he worked on optimizing anaerobic sludge reactorswith respect to trace metal speciation and bioavailability, he was appointed Associate Professor in 2005 at Université Gustave Eiffel. A very prolific researcher and author, his key interests lie in the biogeochemistry of metals and metalloids in engineered systems, pollutant remediation, and circular resource recovery through biohydrometallurgical techniques. He is especially focused on sustainable strategies for waste treatment, soil remediation, and recovering technology-critical elements from agricultural and industrial wastes.
