This book is absolutely brilliant. I've previously tried to study Persian, but never really picked up how to read the script at all. After spending a few hours with this book over a few days, I can read words! The book not only explains the script itself, including every letter, but also what sounds are or are not written and why. There are other handy hints and tips, such as how to distinguish Persian from Arabic almost at a glance.
