The Racing Stable
The Dedicated, Assertive, Adaptive Journey of The Member CompanyMeet The Member Company and take a step into the future. And meet The Racing Stable, TMC’s members. The company calls them employeneurs, both employees and entrepreneurs. These highly qualified engineers are fascinated by their projects, determined to give their best to the clients they’re working for, and eager to get the best out of themselves. In the two decades of its existence, high-tech consultancy TMC developed a business model based on five principles: business cells, individual profit-sharing, a long-term relationship, a YOUniversity (which includes personal coaching) and an Entrepreneurial Lab. With these, it offers its employeneurs the tools to develop themselves professionally and personally. And it offers its clients top-level experts who help them develop their new core technologies of the future. Using a localized internationalization strategy, TMC has expanded to ten countries on three continents. It is driven by a staunch belief in progress and human potential, has a forward-looking, non-hierarchical, anti-managerial culture, and has contributed to a revaluation of technology, engineering, and manufacturing in its home base in the Netherlands. Maybe its most fundamental characteristic is Wisdom of Insecurity, which has given it the resilience to thrive, even in three global crises. Marcel Metze (1952) is a Dutch historian and corporate biographer. In this book, which he wrote at TMC’s invitation, he gives an inside view of the company, based on candid interviews, colorful reports and crucial key documents. Metze has previously written books about – among others – Philips Electronics, the Dutch banking sector, and the restructuring of Rijkswaterstaat (the national Dutch infrastructure agency). His next project is a political biography of Royal Dutch Shell.

The Racing Stable
The ambitious journey of The Member Company 2000-2025E-bookMeet high-tech consultancy The Member Company. And meet The Racing Stable, its members. These highly qualified engineers are fascinated by their projects, determined to give their utmost to the clients they're working for, and eager to get the best out of themselves. TMC calls them employeneurs, since they are both employees and entrepreneurs. In the past twenty-five years, TMC has developed a business model based on five principles: business cells, individual profit sharing, a long-term relationship, a YOUniversity (training & coaching), and an Entrepreneurial Lab. With these tools, TMC's employeneurs can develop themselves both professionally and personally. Using a localized internationalization strategy, and recently also through acquisitions, TMC has expanded to sixteen countries on four continents. It is driven by a staunch belief in progress and human potential, and has a non-hierarchical, entrepreneurial management culture. Its most fundamental characteristic, however, is its adaptability and resilience, which has enabled it to thrive, even across three crises. Marcel Metze (1952) is a well-known Dutch historian and corporate biographer. He authored books about - among others - Philips Electronics, the Dutch banking sector and Royal Dutch Shell. In 2020, TMC invited him to write the first edition of The Racing Stable. In it, he described the company's first two decades, based on candid interviews, colorful reports and crucial documents. In this second, revised edition he adds the company's extraordinary expansion in the years 2020-2025.

Hoog spel
