L'auteur explore le vécu subjectif et l'itinéraire social de femmes migrantes chinoises se prostituant en France. En s'appuyant sur des récits de vie co-construits dans une perspective intersubjective, il accompagne ces femmes dans leurs manières d'attribuer du sens aux situations sociales auxquelles elles se trouvent confrontées et en vue d'une réappropriation de leurs expériences collectives et individuelles. À partir des processus de subjectivation qui s'actualisent pendant ce travail clinique, il tente d'élucider avec elles leurs investissements socio-psychiques et leurs rapports complexes à l'argent, l'amour, l'intimité, la famille, la responsabilité, la liberté, l'histoire, l'avenir, le soi-même et l'autrui... Il analyse comment ces femmes migrantes tentent de se construire comme sujets de leur histoire, en particulier à travers les réponses qu'elles apportent aux contradictions de leur existence. Face à cela, leurs modalités de socialisation sont envisagées comme des tentatives d'exister, de résister et de créer.

Customizable Computing

Since the end of Dennard scaling in the early 2000s, improving the energy efficiency of computation has been the main concern of the research community and industry. The large energy efficiency gap between general-purpose processors and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) motivates the exploration of customizable architectures, where one can adapt the architecture to the workload. In this Synthesis lecture, we present an overview and introduction of the recent developments on energy-efficient customizable architectures, including customizable cores and accelerators, on-chip memory customization, and interconnect optimization. In addition to a discussion of the general techniques and classification of different approaches used in each area, we also highlight and illustrate some of the most successful design examples in each category and discuss their impact on performance and energy efficiency. We hope that this work captures the state-of-the-art research and development oncustomizable architectures and serves as a useful reference basis for further research, design, and implementation for large-scale deployment in future computing systems.

Regularized System Identification

This open access book provides a comprehensive treatment of recent developments in kernel-based identification that are of interest to anyone engaged in learning dynamic systems from data. The reader is led step by step into understanding of a novel paradigm that leverages the power of machine learning without losing sight of the system-theoretical principles of black-box identification. The authors' reformulation of the identification problem in the light of regularization theory not only offers new insight on classical questions, but paves the way to new and powerful algorithms for a variety of linear and nonlinear problems. Regression methods such as regularization networks and support vector machines are the basis of techniques that extend the function-estimation problem to the estimation of dynamic models. Many examples, also from real-world applications, illustrate the comparative advantages of the new nonparametric approach with respect to classic parametric prediction error methods.The challenges it addresses lie at the intersection of several disciplines so Regularized System Identification will be of interest to a variety of researchers and practitioners in the areas of control systems, machine learning, statistics, and data science.This is an open access book.
