The Southern China Flood of 2006 refers to a disastrous flood which occurred in Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces in the People's Republic of China from 14 July 2006 to 18 July 2006. Severe Tropical Storm Bilis landed on Fujian Province , bringing widespread rainstorm in Southern China since 14 July 2006. The long-lasting and widespread effect of Bilis came from its incomplete structure and blurred center of the tropical storm. Provinces including Guangdong, Hunan and Fujian suffered from a severe flood, causing many casualties and fatalities. The most affected areas were the Chenzhou area in Hunan and the northern part of Guangdong Province. The Lechang section of Jingguang railway, which was damaged by the flood, came to a halt. A lot of travelers were stranded in Guangzhou. Some trains were diverted to Jingjiu railway to resume the service.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Hakka or Kejia is one of the main subdivisions of the Chinese language spoken predominantly in southern China by the Hakka people and descendants in diaspora throughout East and Southeast Asia and around the world. Due to its usage in scattered isolated regions where communication is limited to the local area, the Hakka language has developed numerous variants or dialects, spoken in Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Sichuan, Hunan, and Guizhou provinces, including Hainan island, Singapore and Taiwan. Hakka is not mutually intelligible with Mandarin, Wu, Minnan, and most of the significant spoken variants of the Chinese language.
