Tapan K. Sengupta is a Professor in the department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, where he heads the High performance Computing Laboratory. He has received degrees from IIT Kharagpur, IISc Bangalore and Georgia Tech., Atlanta, USA and has worked in various research organizations and educational institutes including NAL Bangalore, India, University of Cambridge, U.K. and National University of Singapore, Singapore. His research interest spans across fields of scientific and high performance computing, fundamental fluids mechanics and aerodynamics, and transition and turbulence. His research teams have refined areas of scientific and high performance computing, receptivity/instability, transition and turbulence. He has authored over 200 scientific papers in internationally acclaimed journals and international conferences in addition to writing 6 books. He has also co-authored and edited two monographs.
Yogesh Bhumkar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Sciences at IIT Bhubaneswar. After receiving his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the National Taiwan University, Taipei. He has 26 published papers in internationally acclaimed journals and conferences in areas of computational aeroacoustics and aerodynamics.
