The book is an anthology of seven critical essays on the work of Mirza Ghalib, and considers a number of issues such as comparisons between him and Muhammad Iqbal, William Shakespeare and John Donne.
Dr Tasleem A. War is Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Kashmir, India. He has a number of national and international publications to his credit, and has authored books such as Approaching the End: Apocalyptic Vision in Graham Greene’s Select Novels (2012), Vignettes: Short Stories from Kashmir (2015), and Enmeshed Life: Translation of Akhtar Mohiuddin’s Novella from Kashmiri to English (2017). He was also awarded two Postdoctoral Fellowships by the Osmania University Centre for International Programmes in 2012 and a UGC-Raman Postdoctoral Fellowship at Rice University, USA, in 2013-14.
