Plante, Ph.D., ABPP is the Augustin Carinal Bea, S.J., University Professor and professor of psychology and, by courtesy, religious studies, as well as director of the Applied Spirituality Institute at Santa Clara University. He is also an adjunct clinical professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and is the current editor of the APA journal Spirituality in Clinical Practice.
