Rabghūzī’s Stories of the Prophets, written in Khwarezmian Turkish (14th century) contains an account of the life of the biblical prophets and of the Prophet Muḥammed.
Hendrik Erik Boeschoten (1950) is Professor of Turkology at the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz. He has published on topics of Turkic linguistics and language contact, besides a number of text editions and translations. John O’Kane (1940) has been publishing since 1972 translations of Arabic and Persian works to do with Sufism, as well as several volumes in the field of Islamic Studies translated from German into English.
