Omschrijving

A helpful, heartwarming story about losing and finding a favourite toy, part of the Guardian Angels series written by Lucinda Riley and her son Harry Whittaker, stunningly illustrated by Jane Ray.

Exquisitely decorative with jewel bright colours and starry highlights

Beautifully illustrated, this first in a new series of children’s books is hopeful, and the perfect Christmas gift in so many ways

The magic of Christmas and the joys of community, friendship and family speak volumes in this warm-hearted tale . . . perfect for seasonal giving

Lucinda Riley was born in Ireland, and after an early career as an actress in film, theatre and television, wrote her first book aged twenty-four. Her books have been translated into thirty-seven languages and sold forty million copies worldwide. She was a No.1 Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller. Lucinda died in the summer of 2021.

Harry Whittaker grew up in the 1990s and spent the first few years of his life on the rural west coast of Ireland, with a poor TV signal (and certainly no iPad). It was therefore left to his mother to entertain him, which she did through telling him stories. As a result, Harry has become a storyteller himself, as an award-winning radio presenter for the BBC and a member of one of the UK’s most renowned improv troupes, who perform all over the UK. Harry now hopes to spread a little warmth through the Guardian Angels series, which is Harry’s first published work.

Jane Ray is a children's illustrator admired worldwide for her exquisite, hand-painted artwork. She has illustrated over sixty children's books, working with bestselling authors such as Michael Rosen, Carol Ann Duffy and Jeanette Winterson. Jane has been shortlisted six times for the Kate Greenaway Award, won the Smarties Prize for The Story of Creation and was the UK's 2018 Nominee for the IBBY Hans Christian Andersen Award.
