Her fiancé, John, is not only the daily inspiration for her drawings but also who suggested a comic series about their relationship in the first place. Thanks to John's idea, Catana lives her dream of being a cartoonist. She currently lives on the East Coast of the United States with John and their tiny, angry dog, Murph.
