This book explores the conditions for assessing the contribution of entrepreneurship to mass litigation, by way of a theoretical and comparative legal study. It aims to contribute to the academic, political and judicial process of weighing and balancing the benefits and drawbacks of entrepreneurial mass litigation.
As of 2019, Ilja Tillema works as an assistant professor with the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her teaching and research interests include civil (procedural) law, in particular collective redress and litigation costs and funding. This book is the result of Ilja’s PhD project on entrepreneurial mass litigation, under supervision of Prof. W.H. van Boom and Prof. S.D. Lindenbergh.
