This biography of native American chief Sore-Belly, war-lord of the Crows is a unique account of the life and times of the greatest Crow war-chief who raised the Crows to the ascendancy they once achieved on the Northern High Plains.
The author received his name Spotted-Tail-Eagle from his adopted Grandfather, Joe Medicine Crow. He has been a regular and welcome visitor to a number of North American tribes over a period of twenty-two years and among whom, he has many adopted family members and contacts who have imparted to him personally, episodes often only repeated in their oral histories. The author's previous works include the well-received "Red Was the Blood of Our Forefathers" and "Ma'heo's Children."
