Omschrijving

Focuses on technological advances on hydrogen production from water and also from biomass processing that are the main ways conducting to sustainable hydrogen. This title include the future role of microreactors and micro process engineering in hydrogen technology and the potential of computational fluid dynamics to hydrogen equipment design.

"...provides very good insights into the recent research activities in the areas of renewable hydrogen production...delivers a brief review of hydrogen purification and storage technologies as well as hydrogen usage in fuel cells and internal combustion engines." --Energy Technology, November 2014 "Editors Gandía, Arzamendi, and Díeguez …offer this collection on the chemistry, physics, and technology of hydrogen fuel. Aimed at researchers, industry professionals, and students of environmental science, the book focuses on renewable feedstocks including photocatalysis and biomass, as well as purification and storage challenges that must be met before hydrogen can be used for a large portion of our energy needs." --Reference and Research Book News, December 2013

: L.M. Gandía is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), Spain, head of the research group “Chemical Reactors , member of the “Hydrogen Group at UPNA, and an experienced researcher on heterogeneous catalysis and catalytic reactors. Currently he is working on micro reaction technology for hydrogen production, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), renewable hydrogen production from wind energy and water electrolysis and hydrogen use as fuel for internal combustion engines. The author has recently published more than 15 papers on this topic Gurutze Arzamendi is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Public University of Navarre, Spain, member of the “Chemical Reactors group and an experienced researcher on chemical reactors, microreactors modelling and simulation and polymeric materials. Currently she is working on micro reaction technology for hydrogen production, CFD and kinetic modelling of catalytic reactions. The author has more than 51 papers published on this topic in highly cited international journals. Pedro M. Diéguez is Associate Professor of Mechanical and Energetic Engineering at the Public University of Navarre, Spain and projects Manager of the “Hydrogen Group at UPNA. Currently he is working on several aspects of hydrogen energy with emphasis in hydrogen use as fuel for internal combustion engines, and CFD applied to investigate safety issues of hydrogen including leakages and transport, combustion, explosion and deflagration phenomena. He has 14 publications under his name on this topic
