Mary Cathleen Brown gained a first- class degree in Creative Writing from Birkbeck College, where she received the Michael Donaghy Poetry prize. Her story Owl Eyes came second in the Fish Short Story competition, 2019. Her poems and short stories have been widely published. She comes from Ireland but has lived much of her life in Mexico. She now lives in London.
