Omschrijving
Writing Our Space is a collection of personal essays, short stories, poems, and scripts written by members of the LGBTQ+ community across the UK. This collection spans from heartbreak on buses to loving our childhood selves; from tiger print skirts to reflections on an HIV diagnosis.
'Eilidh Akilade and Ross Tanner have brought together an incredible selection of authors to provide a text that shows the beauty and bravery of diverging from heteronormativity, whilst equally demonstrating the challenges that this non-conformity can often bring. Painfully relatable, and genuinely funny, this is a much-needed breath of fresh air for everyone, regardless of how you identify. From start to finish, this book projects the voices of people from all walks of life, touching on the romantic, mundane, and tragic experiences of queer people.'- Grace Martin
Writing Our Space features twenty-two authors all coming from different corners of the LGBTQ+ community. The collection contains twenty-four submissions.
