‘I’ve long admired Paul’s cooking and work ethic. He, and his incredible wife Emma, have created one of the country’s most impressive restaurant empires. Now – 18 years in the making – he is celebrating his first ever cookbook! He has a brilliant knack for creating memories with his food; something that shines through in this collection of recipes. A whole chapter on custard too? My god, yes please.’ – Richard Corrigan
'Truly magnificent book by a masterful cook. There’s something here for everyone, and many of the dishes are so brilliantly British but with Paul’s clever twists and touches – a marvellous porridge, Scotch eggs, sensational sandwiches, his granny’s chip butty, a glorious, show-stopping trifle… Delicious, fun and mouth-watering, this is Paul’s first book and it is first-class. For the Love of Food – I absolutely love it!’ – Raymond Blanc
‘In addition to the predictably great recipes, Paul’s writing is completely heartfelt.’ – Rick Stein
‘What a magical, amazing, and brilliant long-awaited book. Paul has that rare ability to be able to create beautiful, quality dishes, with outstanding chef technique but make them completely accessible and homely. Dish after dish that you want to cook again and again. A must have cook for every home cook.’ – Tom Kerridge
'A fabulous debut book that makes you hungry. Paul has grown from a cheeky young chef to a wonderful, passionate restaurateur.’ – Angela Hartnett OBE
