George H. Gilpin is the co-author of Indian Renaissance: British Romantic Art and the Prospect of India (2006; 2016) and co-editor of Charles D’Oyly’s Lost Satire of British India (2021. He authored “Thomas Cole and the Wild American Sublime” in Nature, Politics, and the Arts (2015). He received his doctorate from Rice University, and, as Provost of the University of Tulsa, spearheaded the acquisition of the manuscript archives of V. S. Naipaul, Jean Rhys, and William Trevor.Hermione de Almeida is the co-author of Indian Renaissance: British Romantic Art and the Prospect of India (2006; 2016). Author of Romantic Medicine and John Keats (1990) and Byron and Joyce through Homer (1978), she has edited essay collections on Keats (1990), Romantic science (2004), and Romantic culture (2015). She is co-editor of Charles D’Oyly’s Lost Satire of British India (2021). She received her doctorate from Columbia University and is a Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
